HERITAGE 1881 HONGKONG: CHRISTMAS 2011 BY DAY

When my brother told me we would meet at HERITAGE 1881 in Tsimshatsui, Hongkong, I didn't know what to expect there.

Heritage 1881 is a tourist spot in HongKong and this is what I lifted from the Discover HongKong website.
http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/attractions/kln-1881.html
Located on Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, 1881 Heritage boasts an area of 130,000 square feet. It features a shopping mall, a heritage hotel, and an exhibition hall. The original site of 1881 Heritage was the headquarters of the Hong Kong Marine Police from the 1880s to 1996. The buildings' unique Victorian architecture epitomizes its rich colonial background. Except for the Former Fire Station, the Former Marine Police Headquarters Main Building, Former Stable Block, Former Time Ball Tower were declared monuments by the Antiquities and Monuments Office in 1994, as proof of their historical significance.

The existing time ball mounted on the pole above the domed roof of the Time Ball Tower is similar to time balls in Britain, New Zealand and Australia. The tradition of dropping the time ball at 1pm every day is now alive at 1881 Heritage.

Next to the Time Ball Tower was a typhoon mast where signals were raised manually during typhoons.

Whoa! This is what I see! Didn't expect this at all!

The place is magical, just like in the land of Kings and Queens and Cinderellas and carriages!

Here is a close-up of the carriage!

This is the garland-lined spiral staircase with Christmas bells in the rails as it goes up the tree.

Heritage 1881 is transformed to a very beautiful an happy place!
