BEFORE NUEVO ZAMBOANGA COLLEGE INC. EXTENSION: CIRCA 2005

This post is very interesting for me and very historical too.

I found my chopper shots circa 2005 and saw Pasobolong before Nuevo Zamboanga College Inc. extension came into existence and even maybe at that time, NZCI wasn't even conceptualized.

We did the chopper shots because we took pictures of the parishes such as the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, St. Joseph Church, St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, Fort Pilar, the parishes in Divisoria, Mercedes as well as the Mercedes retreat house. I also got pictures of Ateneo de Zamboanga University, ICAS and ICES and I blogged this earlier in this same site.

Luckily, at that time, I also got aerial shots of Ciudad Medical Zamboanga.
Here is the Pasobolong area before NZCI Extension.

The covered court is already positioned.

Aerial views are as follows. These were taken in sequence as the chopper hovered above the Pasobolong lot.

Isn't it nostalgic to reminisce about what it was and how it looked like before? Really interesting for me!!!

NUEVO ZAMBOANGA COLLEGE INC. EXTENSION: BLESSING AND INAUGURATION

About four years ago, my visionary friend, Monsi dela Cruz envisioned a path to help other people... and that was the beginning of the Nuevo Zamboanga College Inc. based in the Lantaka Hotel annex.
Initially, Nuevo Zamboanga College Inc. started with TESDA Accredited courses, then, developed the three year Hotel and Restaurant Management  program, where they had just their first set of graduates and just last year, started with the four year BS Hotel and Restaurant Management and BS Criminology courses.

Last February 2012, I was invited by Monsi to attend the ground-breaking of the NZCI extension in Pasobolong, which unfortunately I wasn't able to attend.

To my great surprise, I was now invited to the blessing and inauguration of the Nuevo Zamboanga College Inc. Extension in Pasobolong, in just two months!!!

I'd like to share about some events during this momentous occasion for NZCI.

As I arrive in Pasobolong, we are welcomed by this streamer.

Welcome to Nuevo Zamboanga College extension.

I remember the last time I stepped in this soil was in 2005 when I did the helicopter shots of the Zamboanga Parishes.
and this is how it looked

I was able to attend part of the graduation and the mass before the Inauguration.

The mass was concelebrated by 21 brother priests who strongly support Monsi's continued undertakings.

This is the entrance of the lobby, where the ribbon cutting will take place.

There was a very interesting program before the cutting of the ribbon graced by two of the city's stalwarts, Mayor Celso Lobregat and Congresswoman Isabel "Beng" Climaco.
Cong. Erbie Fabian wasn't able to attend the inauguration.

A live female cow won by a pregnant lady drawn by Mayor Celso Lobregat.

A 50% scholarship for any course at the NCZI won by a student drawn by Councilor Myra Paz Abubakar.

A full scholarship for any course at the NCZI won by a student drawn by Councilor Rommel Agan.

A box of sardines won by a student drawn by CHED representative.

A 100 sq.m. lot at the Pasobolong near the Barangay Hall won by this man from Salaan drawn by Cong. Beng Climaco.

Joy and happiness when the name was called!!!

Guests and visitors.

Blessing proper.

Plaques of appreciation were also given to people who helped NCZI in special ways.

This is the lobby of the NCZI extension.
There is no doubt about its impeccable interior decor c/o brother Alan Dela Cruz.

Chapel at the second floor.

This is a mark of idealism, hard work and perseverance and we congratulate Monsi for this!
We pray that this ideal will reach the populace as it is intended.

It was also a reunion of sorts for old friends.

Great day and great inspiration for all of us!!!

P.S.
A message I grabbed from Monsi's Facebook account
which I believe would best be shared with this blog.
