A GLIMPSE OF SENTOSA

From the Universal Studios, we rode the train to the Imbiah Station to get a glimpse of the rest of Sentosa.

We were done with Universal Studios early, so we decided to check out Sentosa...

see the colorful trains...
if you ride the wrong one, just jump on the one on the opposite side...

This is another of our Fastbreak Adventure.

First stop, we arrived at the Merlion Plaza.  As soon as we went down the train, we were welcomed by the 37 meter high half-lion half-fish Merlion, which is the symbol of Singapore. We had to have a picture with this because the original Merlion in the city is covered by the Red box!
with the giant origami flower...

I didn't bother to go to the opposite side,
since there were lots in line also wanting to have a shot in SENTOSA...
We walked to the escalator leading us to the IMBIAH LOOKOUT!

There are relaxing stops along the way up where we saw some benches and gazebos.

We are greeted by the colonial house, where the IMAGES OF SINGAPORE attraction (open 9 am to 7 pm) is located. One could experience Singapore’s cultural history, traditions and celebrations.

I just had to get a picture of this cute Chinese kid!

We stopped to get pictures in this area...

Then, we proceeded to the TIGER SKY TOWER (open 9 am to 9 pm) , where you can get a great view 131m above sea level at the revolving Tiger Sky Tower, Asia’s tallest observatory tower. The tower is supported by Tiger beer, thus, the name.

Beside this is the SKYLINE LUGE SENTOSA (open 10 am to 9:30 pm) , where one rides the luge, which is part go-cart, part toboggan and offers a unique outdoor experience suitable for all ages. Then, you can take the Skyride and enjoy a panoramic view of the coastline.

Also in the area is the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom (open 9:30 am to 7 pm),  to experience live butterflies fluttering around you and explore the world of creepy crawlies.

If you want to really give time going around Sentosa, here are some of the packages...

We rode the bus to go to the beach area, although our original plan is to look for the bus  stop to the city. We were able to have a sightseeing of the place, too.

While waiting for the bus back to the city, we checked out the PALAWAN BEACH by riding the open jeep, and enjoying the view in the beach area.

There is a lot more to see in Sentosa, and a day is not enough...
