this is just at the driveway of Crimson.. |
Crimson Resort and Spa is located in Maribago, Mactan Island, Cebu and has a very picturesque beach club and huge three-tiered infinity pool, which is the beautiful focal point of the place.
We attended a seminar for more than 300 participants and the ballroom was quite ideal with many large screen LCD TVs placed strategically at the sides.
There are also smaller lecture rooms available...
.I noticed some of my other friends previously attended seminars and conferences here and saw their pictures in their Facebook pages. In fact, I wanted to attend the said conference because of the venue!
.I enjoyed going around the main building with the Filipino feel! The Front Desk area is very cozy and also very beautiful.

The rooms were set in a sprawling villa style and can be accessed by taking a leisurely walk or by riding the golf cart.
|
Four golf carts are readily available... |
|
we enter through this little gate... no cars couldn't enter the area anymore! |

The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are huge. I like the vertically folding window separating the bedroom and the bathroom and you have the option to open or close this. Wi-fi is readily available and just ask the front desk for the password...
|
the bedroom is really cozy...and you could stay all day and night with the really comfortable bed! |

.I visited another villa and it looks like this...

We were welcomed with a sumptuous breakfast and lunch at the Saffron Cafe, which offers a fusion of the East and West cuisines.
|
.part of the main building and Saffron Cafe is located at the first level, where the tents are... |

Aside from some not so familiar menu are also the very familiar Bihon Guisado or Adobong Manok. There are more than a dozen main courses, a a lot more salads and desserts!
|
it is air-conditioned in the Cafe... |
The resort amenities appeared more adult oriented.
The pool is open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Here are several shots at the pool area...considering the huge pool, I am trying to get different angles of the pool...
And you can swim in this huge pool.
This view is from the opposite end of the infinity pool.
The beach is available for swimming from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Water sports activities include banana boat rides, dives, sailing, island hopping, jet skiing, kayaking and snorkeling.
Badminton and Fitness centers are available from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The good thing is that they have some trainors for badminton, swimming, sailing and for kayak lessons.
Grab a brochure for your reference since they have a weeklong schedule for Adult Activities Program like stretching, yoga sessions, billiard games and for lessons related to the water sport activities.
But most interesting of all is the Children’s Activities Program available at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. I never expected that at the Active Kids Center, they really have a teachers to entertain the kids, and my three year old niece enjoyed this a lot.
|
Active Kids Center |
Among their activities are storytelling, board games, indoor games, puppet shows and film showing as well as free play and fun time. I saw some kid-friendly resorts like in the Holiday Inn Penang, but here in Crimson, the area is located in the garden rather than in the hotel building.
Some of my friends tried the Aum Spa, for treatments which they called Sundowner’s Soothing since these are available at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Aum Spa is a 2000 sq.m. sanctuary for relaxation and wellness. There are also half-day specials.
For those who wanted to go to the Malls in the city, daily shuttle service is available to SM and Ayala Cebu.
Drop-off times are: 10 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Pick-up times are: 3:45 - 4:00 p.m. (SM); 4:15 - 4:30 p.m. (Ayala); 6:45 - 7:00 p.m. (SM) and 7:15 - 7:30 p.m. (Ayala)
Of course, when I came back from a short trip to the mall, I couldn't help get around the resort again and catch the beauty of this retreat at night. I was overwhelmed by the lights and here are my special shots...
