SCI-FI THEMED WEDDING RECEPTION IN CEBU

When East meets West, something unique is brewed... and that exactly, is what we experienced during the Wedding Reception of Bram and Kaye.

Kaye is Filipina and Bram is Dutch.
Their field is Information Technology.
Their common interest (or can I say passion?) is Star Trek.
Their wedding reception theme is Star Trek and expanded to the Sci-Fi (Science Fiction) motif.

"Whhhhaaaaattttt?", "Star Trek? Sci-Fi? Anime?"...
"Reeeeaaaalllyyyy?"... we will be in costumes????...
were the cries of the conservative Filipino relatives!
(In my mind, this might be better option than going to the mall in a principal sponsor's gown!)

In Star Trek: This is the mission of the original Starship Enterprise:

Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise.
Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.

With this, Sci-Fi theme,  they actually adhered to the mission: TO BOLDLY GO WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE!

Nobody could ever imagine how this would go about, but it turned out to be a PARRRTTTTTYYYY!!!!!

So, I would like to share this with you.
Venue: Laguna Garden Cafe, Cafe Laguna, Ayala Center
from the Cafe Laguna website:
Perfect venue. We are conveniently located in the heart of Cebu’s business district and we have ample parking space. The banquet hall itself is perfect for seating 250-300 people. We can even partition the hall for your smaller gatherings. Our quality PA system compliments the hall’s good acoustics, and quite naturally is tastefully decorated and furnished.

This is just a very small part of the meal.
I didn't go anymore to the buffet table.

This is really one of the most unique and happiest wedding celebrations I (and I know, we!) attended!
